Filming has begun on Marvel’s upcoming TV series, Cloak and Dagger, with principal photography taking place in New Orleans. The new series will be the first collaboration between Marvel and Freeform (previously ABC Family), subsequently targeted at a young teenage audience.
The third series of the BBC’s highly successful period drama, Poldark has now commenced filming with scenes being shot in Cornwall, Bristol and at The Bottle Yard Studios. All of these locations have been visited by the production in the past and will be familiar to fans of the show.
Production has begun on the independent film, We Can Be Heroes as scenes are being shot at The Bottle Yard Studios in Bristol. Up to 17 days of location filming are also expected to take place at Kings Head Park in Bishopsworth, with the Bristol Film Office providing logistical support.
The BBC’s popular period drama, The Musketeers was filmed on location in Prague for its third and final season. Adapted from Alexander Dumas’ classic novel The Three Musketeers, the show depicts a group of highly skilled musketeers in 17th century Paris who fight to protect their King and country. The show was renewed for a third season in February 2015, with news arriving two months later that it would be the last.
Envy Advertising, in collaboration with Production Company Sundog Pictures has filmed on location in the Swiss Alps for the latest VOOM campaign, ‘Pitch to Rich’ competition. As the title suggests, the campaign offers entrepreneurs the chance to pitch their business ideas to the renowned founder of Virgin, Richard Branson.
New Doctor Who spinoff series Class will film Wales as London for a Young Adult (YA) audience. The drama will be set in the Doctor Who universe and will be set in a London school with a tone that’s being compared to Buffy the Vampire Slayer and The Hunger Games.
Jurassic World continues the dinosaur adventure saga that began with Jurassic Park back in 1993, and is the third sequel in the franchise. Like the first film, the new movie shot its location work in Hawaii, but the new story pits its human heroes against a new, genetically-enhanced dinosaur.
Tom Cruise is filming Mena on location in Georgia. The movie is based on the true story of former airline pilot Barry Seal who clashed with cartels when he began smuggling drugs between the Americas in the 70s. The film reunites Cruise with his Edge of Tomorrow director Doug Liman.
