ITV’s prequel to the Prime Suspect television series was partially filmed inside Ladywell Coroners Court and Mortuary, an abandoned building situated in southeast London. The location was transformed into a functioning mortuary during production.
The port city of Wilmington, North Carolina has seen production rates plunge from two projects working on location last month, to none. The severe lack of productions interested in the city has been cited as a direct response to the state’s tax incentive scheme, which is set to expire next year.
Statistics released by Film L.A. indicate that while 2015 was a prosperous year for the number of shooting days for television series filming in Los Angeles, feature films declined compared to 2014.
The Conjuring 2, the sequel to 2013s hugely successful horror film The Conjuring has finished filming in the London borough of Enfield. Unlike its predecessor, The Conjuring 2 was filmed in both Los Angeles and Enfield while the first film was shot entirely on location in North Carolina.
Eight studio features have secured initial approval for filming incentive support from California’s boosted tax credit programme. The highest-profile movie is supernatural sequel Conjuring 2 and several of the approved productions will shoot outside Los Angeles’ 30-Mile Zone.
