California’s existing film and TV tax credit programme is on course for a five-year extension. The State Assembly has overwhelmingly approved the bill and it will go before the Senate in the next few months.

The Governor of Chicago has formally announced a USD5 million investment from the city in a new Cinespace Studios facility. Governor Pat Quinn’s announcement marked a celebration of the studio, which has already been used for a couple of big-budget productions.
Governor Gary R Herbert has officially signed Utah’s new filming incentive scheme into law, meaning the state now officially offers a 25% tax incentive. Authorities are now keen to boost Utah’s profile both domestically and overseas.
