The Northwest Territories (NWT) Film Commission in Canada has launched a new website designed to boost location filming in the region. It’s been given a classic-Hollywood look and has a location photo library, details on regional filming infrastructure and how to access local funding.

A base jumper has been filmed leaping off Switzerland’s Eiger mountain peak in a new spot for web provider Verizon. The jumper is kitted out in a specialised wing suit that fills with air and enables a degree of flight - the spot shows him zipping down the mountainside and hurtling into a house.

Poland and India have signed a new location filming co-production agreement, meaning films from each country will be treated as national productions. India already has similar agreements with countries including New Zealand, the UK and Brazil.
The BBC is filming a new crime drama on location in the Shetland Islands, a region north of mainland Scotland that has a rich cultural history. Ann Cleeves’ murder mystery novel Red Bones is set in Shetland and the TV adaptation also takes the islands’ name.
Lincolnshire in eastern England has signed a Film Friendly Partnership Charter, committing it to offering support to visiting film productions. The move comes a few months after Lincolnshire’s Cadwell Park racing circuit was used for scenes in Ron Howard’s upcoming Formula One biopic Rush.
