After officially being announced at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival, Thailand’s cash rebate incentive is now accessible to the public. Feature films and television shows shooting in Thailand from January 2017 onwards can now receive a 20% cash rebate on qualifying expenditures.

Rob W. King’s science-fiction feature, The Humanity Bureau has begun filming in the small lakeside town of Osoyoos, British Columbia. The film stars Nicolas Cage and Sarah Lind, depicting a dystopian United States destroyed by global warming, leading the Government to banish citizens who are deemed unessential to the rebuilding process.

Louisiana film incentive depleted after funding cuts

Louisiana’s tax credit incentive has been depleted for this financial year, after the programme had its funding cut from USD222 million to USD180 million. The scheme was slashed last year by ex-Governor Bobby Jindal in an effort to curb Government spending, which has now failed to compensate for the state’s popularity.
