Transformers: The Last Knight, the latest instalment in Michael Bay’s long-running feature film series has begun shooting on location in the Isle of Skye. The shoot began yesterday morning and will carry on today, having set up in the areas of Quiraing, the Storr and Trotternish Ridge.
London based production service company Film Fixer will manage a new dedicated film office for Suffolk, to offer a streamlined service for productions hoping to film in the English county. Entitled Screen Suffolk, this new entity will be officially unveiled at the FOCUS international production event in December 2016.
The Tenerife Film Commission (TFC) will return as a sponsor for The Location Guide’s Cannes Soirée at Cannes Lions 2016. The TFC seeks to ensure the best possible experience for productions hoping to film on location in Tenerife, by providing a number of services including swift acquisition of filming permits and an extensive locations directory.
The fifth instalment of Michael Bay’s film series based on Hasbro’s range of Transformers toys, has begun filming on location in Cuba. Following on from Transformers: Age of Extinction, The Last Knight will be the second film in a new trilogy established within the Transformers universe. Mark Wahlberg will reprise his role as Cade Yeager, starring alongside Josh Duhamel and newcomer Isabela Moner.
In an effort to simplify the process of applying for and receiving the Abu Dhabi filming incentive, the programme will now be run solely by the Media Zone Authority company, Image Nation Abu Dhabi. Operation of the incentive was previously split between Image Nation and the SANAD Film Fund.
The pilot for ABC’s upcoming drama series, The Death of Eva Sofia Valdez has begun filming on location in Mullins, South Carolina. Production on the series began last week as lock-offs were initiated on Main Street and Park Street. The show is penned by Cuban-American playwright Charise Castro Smith (Devious Maids) and will star Gena Torres (Suits) in the titular role.
Production Company Filmmaster recently took to the mountains located between Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah to film their new commercial for Nissan. The commercial features a range of Nissan Nismo vehicles including the Nismo GTR as they traverse the vast UAE landscape.
