To provide television productions with more financial incentives for filming, the United Kingdom and South Africa have signed a co-production agreement to share their funding opportunities.

UK Production Service Company LS Productions and London-based Production Company Lucky Strike have decided to combine their resources in a new partnership that will utilise the strengths of each company. Google Expeditions, a programme that provides children with virtual reality school trips, have filmed their latest segment at Lake Baikal in Siberia, Russia. Principal photography has begun on the third instalment of Marvel Studios’ Thor series. Chris Hemsworth will reprise his role as the titular demigod alongside Mark Ruffalo, whose portrayal of Bruce Banner will play a prominent role in the film.
After a fierce lobbying campaign in the nation’s Government over the last year, Finland may finally be getting a film incentive programme of its own. In the event of numerous suggestions being submitted in late 2015, the Minister of Education and Culture, Sanni Grahn-Laasonen established a task force to construct a single proposal for the incentive to be considered for the state budget.
Shoot in Chile, an alliance of the of the most important houses of production services in Chile made a grand appearance at the Cannes Lions Festival 2016 to exhibit the potential that Chile has for audiovisual production of any format and the latest novelties in the industry.
Production began last Friday on the upcoming BBC psychological thriller The Replacement, shooting on location in Glasgow. The programme was commissioned by the BBC’s Polly Hill in December 2015 and will consist of three episodes of 60 minutes each.
