Comedian Ricky Gervais filmed on location in Broadstairs on the south-east coast of England for his new TV series. Gervais stars in Derek, a comedy-drama that he also wrote and directed, and which is set in a small UK care home.
New Mexico’s proposed ‘Breaking Bad bill’ would increase the state’s location filming tax credit for TV productions to 30% from the existing 25% figure. The bill is named after the acclaimed TV drama that comes to an end this year after five seasons based in Albuquerque.

Australia is courting Disney’s big-budget remake 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea: Captain Nemo by doubling its location filming offset for a one-off payment. Disney has scouted filming locations in Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales for the shoot that David Fincher will direct.
