Winners of the 14th annual Rushes Soho Shorts Festival were announced at a ceremony last night in London. The festival showcases talent in short films usually less than 15 minutes long. Almost 200 short films from 22 countries were screened in London over the ten-day festival.

Twickenham Film Studios (TFS) in south-west London is to continue making films. Its closure was announced in January 2012 following slow business, but a campaign to keep it open won high-profile support from the likes of Steven Spielberg, who used the facilities for War Horse.
