Iconic visual effects company Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) has officially opened its new London office. The firm is a division of Lucasfilm and was initially set up in the mid-70s to pioneer the innovative visual effects needed for the first Star Wars movie.
Actor and filmmaker Sylvester Stallone is set to return to Louisiana to film the fifth movie in his Rambo action franchise. It will be the first entry to shoot in the state, although Stallone himself has worked there extensively on the Expendables franchise and other action films.

Action star Dwayne Johnson is filming scenes for his upcoming earthquake disaster movie San Andreas on location in San Francisco. The city is in fact a relatively minor pit-stop for the film, which is not eligible for filming incentive support in California as a big-budget production.
