Steven Spielberg is developing a feature through DreamWorks Studios that is partly set in Kashmir. He won’t direct the project, but it will be produced in conjunction with DreamWorks’ partner in India.
Television pilot Under the Dome has started filming on location in North Carolina. The Stephen King story follows a small town’s struggles when a huge transparent dome inexplicably seals it off from the outside world. Filming will take place partly at EUE/Screen Gems Studios in Wilmington.
Videogame adaptation Need for Speed – overseen by Steven Spielberg through DreamWorks - will get a filming incentive payment from Michigan to shoot scenes on location in Detroit. The production will spend just under USD5 million locally and get a rebate of about USD1.4 million.
