Twickenham Film Studios in south-west London has gone into administration. The studio dates back to 1913, but has lost money for the past three years. Oscar-nominated features War Horse and My Week with Marilyn have filmed there recently.

Daniel Radcliffe’s first post-Potter feature, supernatural thriller The Woman In Black, found its haunted house in Northamptonshire in central England. Cotterstock Hall near the village of Oundle was dressed for exterior shots of the haunted estate, while interiors were filmed at Pinewood Studios.
Hilary manages Isle of Man Film, a regional Government agency. She is tasked with encouraging film production, training and promotion of the industry on the Island in partnership with leading UK producer and distributor CinemaNX. Local film production is financed by the Isle of Man Media Development fund.

A popular TV story has been news that the BBC will be filming a new period drama in Dublin, doubling the city for the East End of London in the late 19th Century. In the real London there’s the popular filming estate that’s less enthusiastic about its screen image.
