British TV shoots have kept location filming levels steady in Bristol, in the west of England. High-profile shows shot in the city in recent months have included a special period episode of the BBC’s international hit Sherlock.

Mark Wahlberg is filming in New Orleans for a movie recounting the Deepwater Horizon oil rig disaster in 2010. The script is taken from a New York Times article detailing the day that tragically resulted in the deaths of 11 rig workers and caused a huge oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
A new TV drama focussing on the life of 18-year-old Queen Victoria will be filmed for ITV on location in the UK. The life of Queen Victoria and her relationship with Prince Albert was previously made into feature The Young Victoria in 2009.
Period romance Carol, starring Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara, filmed Cincinnati as 1950s New York. The Ohio city has spent years actively courting productions looking for period architecture and the state offers a base filming tax credit of 25%.
