London-based Darlow Smithson Productions filmed on location in Cheshire in north-western England for Channel 4’s period TV miniseries The Mill. Set in the early 1830s, the series charts the daily lives and struggles of mill workers during Britain’s Industrial Revolution.

An upcoming reboot of superhero franchise The Fantastic Four has cancelled plans to film on location in Vancouver. Twentieth Century Fox has instead opted to shoot in Louisiana, following the recent renewal of the southern state’s generous 30% filming tax credit.
Marvel’s superhero sequel Captain America: The Winter Soldier has wrapped its location filming in Cleveland, Ohio, which doubled for Washington, DC. The film now heads to California and will continue studio work in Los Angeles.
