Screen Yorkshire, a regional screen agency in northern England, has announced a panel of experts who will advise on the Yorkshire Content Fund. The fund will invest nearly GBP8 million of European Regional Development Funding into media including TV and film.
An upcoming tornado disaster movie will get a USD12 million incentive pay-out from the State of Michigan. Using the working title Category Six, it’s scheduled to spend around USD40 million during a shoot that will be based at Michigan Motion Picture Studios in Pontiac.

Los Angeles is still struggling to appeal to drama TV pilots, a new study from FilmLA has revealed. While the vast majority of comedy TV pilots filmed in Los Angeles over the past year, only 29% of drama pilots chose to shoot in the city, compared to more than 60% five years ago.
