New BBC comedy Ambassadors, starring British comedy duo David Mitchell and Robert Webb, filmed partly on location in Bursa in western Turkey. The show follows a pair of British diplomats as they set up an embassy in a fictional former Soviet satellite state in central Asia.
Kiefer Sutherland will film a miniseries continuation of his hit action drama 24 on location in London. The regular 24 series ended in 2010 but Live Another Day will see the return of Jack Bauer and will be filmed in the coming months for broadcast in summer 2014.
Brad Pitt’s new World War II tank drama Fury is filming on location in south-east England, doubling the region for wartime Germany. David Ayer is directing Pitt as an Army sergeant in charge of a Sherman tank that penetrates behind enemy lines in Germany in 1945.
London-based production company Image Partnership took to the streets of Budapest for a new photo shoot campaign for fashion brand Zara. The resulting commercial shows off the gothic streets and concrete tenements of the Hungarian capital.
New feature Half of a Yellow Sun filmed on location in Nigeria with high-profile British actors Chiwetel Ejiofor and Thandie Newton. The film tells a story of family ties against the backdrop of the Nigerian-Biafran War of the late 1960s.
The British Film Institute (BFI) has taken a delegation of British producers to the Rio Film Festival in Brazil to help develop relations between the two production industries. A new co-production treaty between the two countries is expected to come into force in late 2014.
