The Wales Screen Commission (WSC) has experienced another busy year assisting productions. Seven feature films and five major television dramas shot in Wales throughout 2011, proving that Wales is still a popular choice for film and TV producers.
British filmmaker Joe Wright will soon be shooting Anna Karenina on location near Oxford with Jude Law and Keira Knightley. The project will film on a heritage railway centre near Didcot Parkway station, doubling for a Russian location. Film crew will be on-location until early December.
Film London has advised productions filming in the capital to exercise caution given the recent widespread rioting. Many shops across the city have been closing early to avoid the unrest. Ealing Studios in west London was attacked on Tuesday night and had an office looted.

Much of the film was shot in the UK, with Stanley Dock in Liverpool and Dale Street in Manchester’s Northern Quarter doubling for 1940s New York City.
Born in Paris, Arnaud returned to the city at 18 to study cinema. He discovered all the different jobs that the industry offers and three years later he started to work as a location trainee. He rose through the ranks and became a Location Manager for feature films in 2008.
