Victorian crime series Ripper Street returned to shoot its third season on location in Dublin, using the Irish capital as a stand-in for London. Filming locations included Clancy Barracks, Trinity College, Dublin Castle and Kilmainham Gaol, and the new series will be launched on 14 November.
Location filming for Australian drama The Code has helped raise Canberra’s profile as a filming location. Filmed partly in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) of Canberra, the series follows two brothers caught in a political conspiracy when they investigate an Outback murder.
Ireland will consider increasing its current EUR 50 million (USD 63 million) cap on eligible expenditure that qualifies for the country’s filming incentive programme, from 2016. The current Section 481 filming incentive will convert to a tax credit from next year and the value will rise to 32%.

Historical drama miniseries The Secret River is to film on location in Victoria and New South Wales in Australia. Based on the award-winning novel by Kate Grenville, the drama follows the exploits of some of the first European colonists in New South Wales in the early 19th Century.
