New TV drama Gran Hotel will recreate 1950s Cuba at Pinewood Dominican Republic Studios. The facility currently offers three stages – with a third in development – and a 60,500 sq ft Horizon Water tank. Producers can get a 25% tax credit as a filming incentive.

New historical TV drama Medici will film on location in Rome and Florence with Dustin Hoffman and Richard Madden, a veteran of Game of Thrones. The series will chart how the Medici family became a banking and political dynasty in 15th century Italy.
Camera systems provider Panavision is opening a satellite office at Pinewood Atlanta Studios in Georgia. The announcement comes soon after confirmation that Thor: Ragnarok will film at the studio, which will be Marvel’s fourth Atlanta-based production.
